Auto expo fortuna ca12/7/2023 ![]() When I went to pick up the vehicle on Wed, I was shocked to find out that a) the dealer had told the repair shop I backed into something and that's why we were missing a bumper b) the serpentine belt had NOT been replaced because apparently Su never told them it needed to be and c) the front inner wheel fender that was missing was not something this shop could replace. ![]() Su was also supposed to be speaking with Matt to ensure that the serpentine belt was replaced at their cost, not at ours, since that was promised to us verbally during the sale. Su then supposedly walked over and spoke with the dealer and got it all squared away. On Tues, my husband once again had to call Su at Car Expo because the repair shop was not honoring the price that Su promised he negotiated. This is 8 DAYS after we purchased the vehicle! Now, in addition to the fuel pump, serpentine belt, and front wheel fender needing to be replaced, we also needed to replace the bumper with parking sensor (NOT CHEAP!). We inspected it and found that the clips that held the bumper on were all broken. Halfway there, I had to swerve on the freeway to avoid the BUMPER flying off from our vehicle that my husband was driving! I immediately called him and he pulled over on the fwy. Since we could not afford another tow to Sacramento, my husband drove the car to the dealer's recommended repair shop on Mon evening, while I followed behind him. While the savings was appreciated, the fact that we were dumping 2 months worth of payments into the vehicle within 6 days of owning it was not. He told us we should be happy he was saving us $1,100. Our mechanic had quoted us nearly $1,500, but Su promised that he negotiated with the mechanic next door to the dealer that they could do ALL of the repairs for around $400. ![]() Su told us to bring the car down to a repair shop that was next door to them in order to get all of the issues fixed. On the Mon after the car had broken down, we called and spoke with "Su". When we did our finance paperwork with Matt, he verbally agreed that if the serpentine belt was still an issue, we could bring it back down and they would have "their shop" fix it for us. He said he wasn't worried about it, but it "sounded bad" but thought it was just because the car was cold. So horrible, in fact, that Kevin turned the vehicle off while we were talking. Now, to be fair, we were aware of this issue when we purchased the vehicle because when Kevin first got in the car and started it up, it made a horrible squealing sound. Another issue they found was the serpentine belt needed replacing. One of the major issues being that the front wheel fender was completely missing so water was splashing up into the filter (and other parts of the engine). When we had it towed to our mechanic, they found SEVERAL other issues. 6 DAYS after we purchased a vehicle from them, I was left stranded in a rainstorm on the side of the freeway with my 3 kids in the car.
